Talooooooooofa Lava! Or in other words, Helloooooooo! Welcome to a blog sharing what it's like living in an island paradise known as Samoa. Here's a quick look at the beautifully humble place I proudly call home.

We may look like a group of simple islands scattered across the crystal blue Pacific ocean, but we face many of the same problems that developed countries face. A lot of these problems don't surface in the media very often, and generally not at all.
Here is an example of some of Samoa's Members of Parliament attempting to tackle a more known issue of teenage pregnancy, reported by local newspaper Samoa Observer. However there are huge problems of abuse in the home including incest, drug production and dealing, early teenage sex leading to teenage pregnancies, prostitution and adultery which are not being addressed by the government. Maybe the worst part about it is that even the parents of the rising generation aren't opening their eyes to see the wide existence of such problems. However, even with all these problems our Christ centered culture of respect is still very much alive and gives us hope in tackling these issues.
So once again, welcome to the mind of a girl living in Samoa, the 2014 version.
